Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR") refers to any means of settling disputes outside of the courtroom. Alternative Dispute Resolution typically includes arbitration, mediation and/or counseling. Due to rising costs of litigation, and courthouse time delays more states have begun experimenting with Alternative Dispute Resolution programs.
